fun day to end an awesome day! today was absolutely fantastic. blue sky, the sun and best of all, its not cold anymore! (ok not that cold) everyone's out of their thick winter jackets and walking around in skirts shorts shirts bermudas sandals. YAY spring is here :D
was quite quite stressed this morning cause i didn't have time to finish my math hw since i came home late last night. was with joan and her father's colleagues from taiwan and showing them around school. got treated to a free dinner, pretty good food and i was really full. haha my improved chinese came in useful and one of them commented on how good my chinese was cause i used 'shi cha' to describe jetlag. hahahaha my roommate rocks.
was quite stressed this morning as well cause i got an email from housing dept about how i will most prob end up in a dorm that i put as my last choice. so i'm really disappointed cause i really really want to live in sanford next sem. so i might start looking around for a house/apt now and trying to figure out who i'll be staying with.
nsw was fun, had a scavenger hunt around school and ended up eating vermonster (think 20 scoops of ice cream haha heaven!) at ben and jerrys! had tacos at sally's before for our weekly dyad so i pretty much enjoyed myself.
i'm so glad gordon and gary get a chance to come to the US to study. i'm so happy for them! :)) more pple to visit come junior year and get free housing. WEEEEEE :))
the weather's fantastic. even though its like 10 celcius, but its awesome. minnesota's great. haha i need to go clubbing with hajime and yetz before they leave! only 5 more weeks til summer. that's really fast.
enlighting thought of the day:
i hate how engineering forces one to think to live and to breathe by numbers. it doesn't give you room to state an opinion. nope everything has to be proven by numbers. there's always a right or a wrong. unlike a social science or an arts subject, say poli sci, where you get to air your views debate on issues and cultivate intellectual well-being. cultural pluralism class gives me an opportunity to get in touch with the human side of me, that engineering certainly doesn't. to ponder abt social issues to exchange views, opinions and to feel that life's not just about getting things right. its also about thinking about things and what they mean to you. that's life for you. :)
right here are some pics from mich. didn't take too many. :)

and thanks to everyone who has been giving me encouragement along the way. really appreciate that.
AND FOON AND JIAYU! i got ur poster :) thanks so much, i'm putting it up in my room! ;)
