today was a wonderful day!!!
woke up at exactly 6 am, and managed to do some serious mugging before running (and i say running because i run for the bus sometimes) off for school at 740 am.
french was not bad, bio was as usual, lunch was good! ate macaroni and pork with spare ribs sauce and vegetables (i made it the day before! hehe)
had bio lab after that, and you know what, i'm so glad i got to know dinelle, my lab partner. she's not the average persons i've met so far.
guess what she asked me. (btw there was this pretty big anti war protest on campus yesterday, which i thought was quite amazing :) )
she asked me on my views of the Iraq war, and how i feel about the US. told her that i thought that US went in with rather shaky reasons, and the way they handled the war wasn't spectacular (what with prisoner abuse and all)
and her reply? she said she didn't like the way US went in for the money.
WHOA.
amazing. i felt so happy after that.
not because she wasn't for anti war. but simply because here was a person that actually wanted to hear what i thought about some global affair.
WOW. i haven't had someone do that in a REALLY LONG time.
my day just got better as i made some new friends in econ class! was chionging on my econ assignment and this guy (not sure of his name haha) very kindly offered to show me a qn. and he was damn nice abt it too.
and found out that this girl in my class stays in dinnaken too! haha and she was like " oh we should hang out and talk about micro econs sometimes" haha damn funny.
ate pizza for dinner cause i was simply HUNGRY after a long hectic day. YAY taking 24 credits next semester. its a killer lar but at least i got my way ( taking 4 chem engin courses 1 micro econ french and tennis! hehe)
hope i'll survive but yar, i'll definitely survive!hehe
and then i skipped math discussion for the review on P Chem I. quite illuminating i must say. i'm so proud of myself, actually went for math discussion at 7.30 pm, exactly when it ended! haha
and i realised i could most of the questions so was trying (patiently) to teach my classmates after the class how to do some. so there we were, 3 guys and 2 girls in the classroom doing math questions.
we were speculating if my TA has a gf (caused we saw him with a girl a few times haha) and then Ben Beaner, this really nice and funny guy, said something about confucious.
was pretty impressed INITIALLY that he knew about him.
then the girl asked, "is he the guy who wrote the little red book?" and i was laughing my head off
AND then BEN said after a while, "confucious is a girl right?" hilarious haha
they are jokers lar. the 3 guys are really decent :) 2 of them are americans and they are pple who'll treat pple with respect, regardless of where they are from or what skin colour they are. feeling quite happy cause of that :)
AND iwas damn happy last night! cause wai keong was super nice!! offered to put us up at his dorm during tahnksgiving ! YES I AM GG TO CHICAGO FOR THANKSGIVING! penang cafe, here i come!!! :D
was so touched! especially when i don't know him THAT well!
and my edb senior is putting me and sarah up at his place in san francisco too! even more touched for that! cause i only met him during internship and i talked to him like for 3 or 4 times only? and he offered to chauffeur us around! and even wanted us to sleep in his/his room mates room while he slept in the living room for 7 days! damn nice!
yay! i keep meeting nice pple this week :) shall try to be nice to everyone so that i'll continue to meet nice pple hehe
yay! i'm so happy! even though like ive got 6 tests next week but what the hell, damn happy! hehe :)
