just went to a foot ball match on saturday, and it was really cool! the stuff gg on in the stands are definitely more interesting than the match (minnesota won like 40-0 duing half time, when it got a little boring haha)
u see floods of yellow (school colour) and i'm so gg to buy a gopher shirt! :)
can sense the school spirit during the matches hehe
was invited to a party at a newly made acquaintance friend's house on friday. waspretty touched, cause i only met her twice and she was so generous in including me in a small part of her life. her friends were pretty nice too, and we were playing nerds (some form of speed) and being really competitive abt it haha
oh well :)
was talking to a chinese grad student on sunday, (was invited by another classmate to a chinese association to celebrate moon cake festival) and she mentioned how the americans in the mid west differed from those in oregon (she studied there for her masters). she said that the pple there were comparatively more 'warm' than those here, and the pple here are more 'warm' than those at the east coast.
so i'm sorta glad i'm here, cause i get to understand and know a whole lot more things than i never did before :)
hope i get to meet more nice and welcoming pple like my new found american friend! (incidentally, she was from california)
